6th round of India, Uzbekistan joint military exercise Dustlik, to begin in Pune from April 15th
The 6th edition of the Joint Military Exercise- Dustlik- between India and Uzbekistan will take place at the Foreign Training Node in Aundh, Pune, from April 15th to 28th.
“This exercise will bring together contingents from the Indian Army and the Uzbekistan Army to enhance collaboration and strengthen military ties,” according to an official of the Uzbek government.
The main objective this exercise is to focus on fostering military cooperation, enhancing combined capabilities, and conducting joint operations in mountainous and semi-urban terrains. It emphasizes physical fitness, joint planning, tactical drills, and special arms skills, laying the groundwork for effective collaboration between the two forces.

The Indian Army contingent set off for the 5th edition of the India-Uzbekistan joint military Exercise DUSTLIK ( from April 15th to April 28th, 2024) in Termez, Uzbekistan. This was in continuation of the growing military cooperation between the two nations.
“Exercise Dustlik serves as a platform for sharing best practices in tactics, techniques, and procedures, fostering interoperability, camaraderie, and mutual understanding between soldiers of both nations. Beyond military cooperation, it contributes to strengthening bilateral relations, reinforcing the bonds of friendship and cooperation between India and Uzbekistan,” the official added.
